Reflection Areas
At St Alphege we enable our children to use the reflective spaces in school. We believe it is right to ask big questions and seek answers, to develop a sense of wonder about the universe, to explore the dimensions of the spirit and just be still, even for a moment.
Reflective areas are accessible, not hidden away and inclusive to all. They carry a focus for the term.
We know these spaces are effective because children access them regularly, ask questions about the focus and participate in designing the spaces within their own classrooms and community spaces around the school.

Our worship TED team have been busy discussing and developing our new outdoor reflective space. This will be used as a space for the children to explore their spirituality and have opportunities for quiet reflection at playtimes and lunchtimes. Here are some of the things they have created.
